BIENVENUE AU RELAIS DES GOURMETS

A deux heures de Paris et de Lyon par l’autoroute A6, le Relais des Gourmets est situé au cœur de la Bourgogne. Terre de bien vivre et d’accueil, Avallon et sa région bénéficient d’un paysage naturel et d’un patrimoine historique particulièrement riches avec notamment la basilique romane Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Vézelay.

Aux portes du Parc du Morvan, Guy Hamelin propose depuis plus de vingt ans une cuisine généreuse aux saveurs du terroir, dans un subtil mélange de tradition et de modernité.

La Salle des Oliviers du restaurant gastronomique est plantée d’oliviers centenaires : abritée par un dôme vitré, la terrasse climatisée vous plonge été comme hiver dans une ambiance pittoresque aux couleurs pastel de la Provence.
La Salle Bourguignonne du Restaurant du Bistrot a préservé l’héritage régional : mobilier rustique, murs et abreuvoirs en pierres, poutres et tommette nourrie à l’huile de lin ravivent les parfums d’antan.
La Salle de la Cheminée reste, elle aussi, fidèle au patrimoine bourguignon : quand le feu crépite au fond de l’âtre, il attise de ses effluves le plaisir des sens.

Guy Hamelin has been offering for more than twenty years a generous cooking based on traditional recipes softly tinged with a modern touch.

The Olive Trees Room of the Gastronomic Restaurant welcomes you in an air-conditionned terrace covered with a glass roof. The 100 years old trees and the pastel colours of the walls and windows plunge you into the picturesque atmosphere of Provence.
The Burgundian Room of The Restaurant du Bistrot has preserved the regional heritage : rustic furniture, wall and watering trough made of stones, exposed beams, floor-tile …
The Fireplace Room is also faithful to the Burgundian spirit :
when the fire crackles in the hearth, it fans the flame of senses.
